Should cell phones be allowed in the classroom? Cell phone adoption among teenagers has increased significantly and access to the internet is general. “78% of teens now have a cell phone, and almost half (47%) of those own smart phones. That translates into 37% of all teens who have smart phones, up from just 23% in 2011”. However, using cell phone in the class room is a big issue because cell phone cause cheating and non-focusing in the classroom. So, students should not use a cell phone in the classroom.

Cell phones could increase cheating.  If a student decides to bring his or her cell phone to the classroom, there is a possibility that they would use a cell phone in the class while no one knows. Then, once they get used to use cell phone on the test, they will start texting or searching while they take a test. This can cause a big increase in cheating. School is sanctioning student’s cell phone during the test. For example, if students cheat on the test, school gives punishment to the students. However, school needs a stronger cell phone policy than now because student thinks cheating is not that serious problem.

Students could not focus on the lesson. We should not have cell phones in the school because if students are going off like someone is calling other students, both students will be distracting the whole class. Also, students wouldn't pay attention in class because they will be too distracted texting others and playing games or texting on their cell phones.

Opponents-students should use a cell phone in the classroom- worry about an emergency situation such as permission to leave school early for reason of health. However, students could contact their parents through their teacher or school. Or, cell phones will have to be in student’s lockers and cell phones had to be shut down. And, the teachers will have permission to go throw their lockers and see if their cell phones are off. If there not off they will be taken away and their parents or guardians will have to come and pick them up and pay $15.00 dollars. If they get taken away the second time their parents or guardians will paying $15.00 dollars and spend one day in school suspension for one day. In emergency situation, all of the policies have to be excused.

Cell phone makes a lot of troubles in the school. Sometimes cell phone is good device for the education, but cell phone is not helpful usually for the class. Because, student could cheat, get distracted, and distract others from their work. The cell phone is only obstacle for the teachers and students. Students could text in the class, and the teachers might see so the students might get their phone taking away! Take a cell phone in the school is fine. However, school needs care the student’s development in the classroom. Students should use their cell phones wisely.

Some consumers feel that cell phone prices have been increasing too much, and some cell phones are ridiculously overpriced. For example, the price of the Galaxy S6 and iPhone6S is almost one thousand dollars each, without a contract with a mobile carrier. How is that price possible? There are three characteristics that dictate a cell phone’s price: the technology, brand, and commercial advertising for the cell phones. However, these characteristics do not always match the price of the phones and are why so many cell phones are too expensive.

Companies which make premier phones apply new technology into their new devices such as 3D pressure touch, software upgrades, etc. Customers know new phones come out with new high-technology every year; however the price for upgrading and installing the new technology into the newest cell phone does not equal the price being charged. Furthermore, some of the design technologies have errors. For example, when the iPhone 6 came out, it was supposed to be stronger and more flexible. However, users reported that the phone was susceptible to bending under a little pressure, such as when carried in a pocket. User’s complaints were known as Bendgate. Thus the premier cell phone was not able to work as a ‘premier’.

The brand name affect to the price of cell phones. Customers gladly pay the ‘brand name price’. People tend to choose the cell phone which is popular company such as Samsung or Apple. LG release the new cell phone G3 that is chipper than Galaxy S6 or iPhone6S. Also, the G3 has similar a technology, hardware, and attractively. However, people do not know about LG G3 as much as Galaxy S6 or iPhone 6S, because LG does not make an advertisement as much as Samsung or Apple. Customers need to think about that the brand name is valuable to buy a new premier cell phone?  Does One thousand dollar is worth to chose the cell phone? Well, not at all.

            Company is spending money for commercials, not for device. The company is counting the price for commercials that is one of parts of why the cell phone price is overpriced. Companies are engage popular stars to promote their cell phones. For example, the actor who appears on commercial is advertisement performance fee is around million dollars. So then, who pay for these commercial fees? Customers pay for theses commercials that includes in device prices.   As a result, people feel pressure of cell phone exchange.

             In these days, cell phone is high-priced electronic equipment cause by non-reasonable reasons. However, consumers have a choice to buy a good phone. “In the Android arena, Motorola’s new Moto G costs just $179 with no contract. It doesn’t have a tiny, cheap screen” (Why You Don’t Need an Expensive Smartphone Anymore; http://www.howtogeek.com) according thie author, Arena is not a new smart phone. However, it is not bad smart phone. Customers do not need an expensive smart phone anymore. Likewise, customer always has second or third choices. Or they have a free device plan for customers. Consumer needs to stop buying a new phone if it is not efficiency.

Are you using Apple or Samsung products? Apple and Samsung are in fierce competition in several ways. Apple and Samsung are the undisputed leaders of the electronic product market. Apple goes against Samsung and Samsung goes against Apple all the time when new products are coming out with new technology. The main product for these two companies is the smart phone. Apple has a great smart phone ‘iPhone’ series.  iPhone is the best product made by Apple. Also, Samsung has a great smart phone ‘Galaxy’ series. Galaxy is the main smart phone by Samsung. Both Galaxy and iPhone are the face of their companies.  For example, Galaxy S6 and iPhone6S were released a few weeks ago. People compare a Galaxy and an iPhone with the design, software, and convenience.

Design of the iPhone was the beginning of change and innovation.  The iPhone 1 was released on June 27, 2007. At that time, the slogans were “This is only the Beginning” and  “Apple reinvents the phone.”  Most iPhone users like the design of iPhone.  However, Samsung started to sue Apple because of the design. Samsung accused Apple of using many of Samsung’s ideas. However, Apple sued Samsung for the same reason. Therefore, the situation is very much dog-eat-dog.

Convenience of the product is a possible reason to change the user’s mind. Convenience could be weight, multi-tasking, and battery. First, weight is not a big deal. Most smart phones are lighter than 1kg. The next issue is multi –tasking technology. Galaxy has better multi-tasking technology because iPhone cannot run two applications at one screen. Finally, battery is a big issue for both devices. Galaxy S6 does not use removable battery, unlike previous models, so convenience is pretty much the same now.

Android is a universal system. For example, if the Android phone user changes the cell phone, it is very easy to transfer the data. In the IOS world, users could not transfer the data without their program. IOS users must use iTunes program for connecting with their computers. However, Android is easier to transfer the data because the phone can connect directly to the computer without any program.

Smart phones are divided by two major companies: Galaxy and iPhone. Each type of phone has its own pros. Each person has different taste. Thus, each person has different types of feeling. For reference, the iPhone maker sold 48 million smartphones in the second quarter, up 36%. Samsung sales dipped 5.3%, to 72 million. How many people in the world are using cell phones? Just 20 years ago, a cell phone was heavy to carry and uncomfortable to use. However, ‘modern day - cell phone’ is an only hand-size, less than 1kg and easy to carry. Also, people do not have to carry TV, calendar, map, calculator or computer; these products in one cell phone. So cell phone is one of the important products in modern days and has a large impact on our life. However, because of multi tasking cell phone, people are getting a more comfortable life. However, sometimes the technology is effecting badly to our quality of life. For example, cell phone could be affecting to chance of accident increased, patient of new disease syndrome increased, and people addicted to a cell phone.

Most people have had an experience using a phone on the road. We cannot focus on the road. Cell phone use causes over 25% the car accidents. Texting is the most dangerous act on the road. We can look around while talking and listening music, but while texting, a driver needs to look at the screen; so a driver cannot focus on the road. And…Boom. So as to protect the accidents, Georgia law tightly restrict about texting while driving. By Georgia texting law, all drivers are prohibited from texting while driving. Cell phone can be a good educational device. A lot of information is flooding above our heads. Phones are catching the information, and show us the information that makes us educated persons. But furthermore the passion for getting information at night time is making our eyes bad. For example, if the college students are researching the homework until midnight all days, their eyes will be tired. The other problems are the carpal tunnel syndrome. The carpal tunnel syndrome is one of the rages for the young generation. The carpal tunnel syndrome is a condition characterized by pain and tingling in the fingers, caused by pressure on a nerve as it passes under the ligament situated across the front of the wrist.(dictionary.com) Using cell phones too much is one cause of carpal tunnel syndrome. The third problem is electromagnetic waves. Electromagnetic waves do not affect for our body directly, but many scientists are warning seriously about biological change caused by cell phone frequencies. The electronic waves affect gene and protein expression, immune function, Neurology and behavior. So, would better to avoid electronic waves away from your body.

Addiction is one of the problems. So many people addicted to cell phones already.The professor Lesile Perlow, PhD, the Konosuke Matsushita professor of leadership at the Harvard Business School, found that: 70% of people check their smart phone within an hour of getting up. 56% of people check their phone within an hour of going to sleep. 48% of people check over the weekend, including on Friday and Saturday nights. 51% of people check continuously during vacation. 44% people said they felt “worry” if they lost their phones. During face to face conversation, a phone is big an impediment. People are having a conversation with phone, even though their friend is front of them. Another cause of addiction is mobile games. Mobile game is reason of phone addiction. Game addiction among teenagers has been a huge problem in society.

The Phone is really a important product in our life, but the cell phone is a double edged sword. The cell phone is giving us good quality of life. However, the cell phone is also hurting us. Problems of using cell phones are on the increase every year and every second. Thus, to prevent these problems we should use cell phone correctly. The government could make a solution to prevent these problems. Also, parents should educate the child how to use cell phone correctly. We can prevent these problems.
